The New York Jets aren’t the only team interested in Tennessee Titans tackle Jack Conklin.

Sometimes you don’t know what you got till its gone, and Tennessee Titans fans are about to experience that for the first time in a long time when Jack Conklin heads to another team.

A young offensive tackle with a resume that boasts an All-Pro season and being the most consistent blocker in front of the league’s rushing leader, Conklin is going to be a hot commodity on the market if he hits free agency.

My word should be enough, but if you don’t believe me for some crazy reason look at what Adam Schefter said today:

Since we know that there is market for Conklin, it feels like a waste to let him walk away with nothing. Before you talk to me about compensatory picks, you need to know that the only way that happens is if the Titans let Conklin walk and then sit on their hands for the rest of free agency.

If they sign someone with the money they aren’t using on Jack Conklin, they will get nothing in return.

The only way to guarantee something in return is to give Conklin the tag and then make a team trade for him.

Which teams stand out as the most desperate/able to make a move like that?
