Quarterback

The Tennessee Titans are in such a weird place right now because the quarterback coming into 2020 could either be a long term solution who needs a backup to just sit and develop, or it could be a guy who needs to come in and replace Tom Brady in Week 8 after a phantom injury (or whatever) is used to explain why he looks so bad with the Titans.

Either way, they do need to add a body to that position group and in all likelihood the most cost effective way to do that is in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Findings in my own words: 1st round or bust

Go read these articles, but in my own words the best way that I can describe the findings is that if you want a quarterback you are going to have to invest a first round pick there.

Sure, there are outliers like there are in any method of data collection but this is a judgement of everything that the data shows. As you would expect, the best and most effective way to get a quarterback who can win you games and not just sit around and watch everyone else to the work, is to draft one in the first round and specifically in the top-5.
