With the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine around the corner, here are three running backs the Tennessee Titans could be targeting.

The Tennessee Titans have a dilemma at the running back position.

Part of it, is as straightforward as: Running back Dion Lewis should be cut from the team. But, the most substantial question of the Titans’ offseason remains — will the organization shell out the big bucks for running back Derrick Henry?

Henry holds the rushing title from the 2019 NFL season after tallying 1,540 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground. And, how could that not justify the Titans dropping off “the bag?”

Well, other elite running backs tend to hit a wall after a big payday, such as Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley or Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson. Multiple organizations are currently bleeding Benjamins after thinking that their guy was the exception to the rule.

To be clear, this isn’t from lack of effort, or their talent vanishing in thin air. This phenomenon is primarily attributed to injury and age; wear and tear on a running back is an ugly truth.

So this begs the question, could Henry be an anomaly? He’s undoubtedly built differently than your average running back, and even the “top-shelf” guys. Heck, he’s made differently than most humans.

Could his lofty contract be worth it to the Titans? As a fan, here’s to hoping so; the Titans, long searching for a face of the franchise, seem to have found one in the former Alabama product.

I’m in, but in case the Titans are not, here are a few faces to familiarize yourself with before the combine.
