According to NFL.com’s Adam Schein, the Tennessee Titans have two players they must re-sign during the 2020 offseason.

The Tennessee Titans have four major free agents that could hit the open market during the 2020 offseason. Those big four are quarterback Ryan Tannehill, running back Derrick Henry, right tackle Jack Conklin and cornerback Logan Ryan.

NFL.com’s Adam Schein made a list of the nine players around the NFL whose current teams must re-sign, and he says both Henry and Conklin are those guys for the Titans.

And, in his write-up for Henry, Schein also seems to think that Tannehill should be brought back into the fold for 2020 in some way, shape or form.

"Derrick Henry is a bona fide star. It’s not often the Titans have offensive stars. You keep him. You prioritize him. And then you try to keep Ryan Tannehill, too, whether on a long-term deal or the franchise tag."

Based on how well the offense did with Henry in the backfield and Tannehill under center, Tennessee would be wise to at least keep this pairing together.

Because of the threat of Henry, who carried the Titans on his back at times this season and especially in the playoffs, Tannehill was able to thrive using play action to the tune of a play-action passer rating of 140.6, the best in the NFL.

There’s no question Tannehill helped elevate this offense after he took over in Week 7, and that should have him coming back to Nashville for at least another season.

As for Conklin, the Michigan State product was in a “prove-it” year in 2019, and boy did he ever prove it.

Conklin was one of the better right tackles in the sport last season, and the Titans’ offensive line as a whole dominated in the run game. After proving he could stay healthy and play at a high level, Conklin has revived a career that once seemed to be on life support.

In reality, if head coach Mike Vrabel and general manager Jon Robinson want to keep continuity on offense, then signing these three players should be at the top of the list. Out of the three players listed, Conklin might be the most likely to move on in free agency.

Tennessee might feel the big money contract he could demand isn’t worth it, and the team does have a backup plan in fellow right tackle Dennis Kelly, who has already proven he can be a solid starter on the right side and would be a much cheaper alternative.
