On the most loving day of the year, let’s look at what could happen if the Tennessee Titans break up with several free agents.

The Tennessee Titans have the cap space for about four big moves in free agency once cuts happen. Many of us think we already know what those moves are.

Based on everything that makes sense, we expect the Titans to keep Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry for sure. On top of that we also think that there is going to be a strong push made to keep Jack Conklin in Nashville.

That eats up three of the four potential big moves. After that, the idea seems to be to make a push for an EDGE in free agency and specifically Jadeveon Clowney.

This seems to be the best way to address the Titans hierarchy of needs heading into the offseason:

1. Quarterback (Tannehill)

2. Offensive Tackle (Conklin)

3. EDGE (Clowney)

4. Running back (Henry)

5. Cornerback (Likely draft)

6. Wide Receiver (Likely draft)

But, what if that doesn’t happen?

What if the Titans can’t figure out deals for Tannehill, Henry and Conklin and they are forced to pick one to franchise tag and the other two walk?

And what if Jadeveon Clowney gets offered a mega deal by someone who doesn’t know how to use him instead of taking the smart money and working with Vrabel again?

Well, let’s look down that dark path- it is Tannehill by the way, he would be the guy tagged and they wouldn’t think twice because of how long it has been since a Titans QB has played like that- but let’s follow this rabbit hole and see where it goes.
