Quarterbacks:

Tom Brady

-Did you know that Tom Brady and Mike Vrabel used to be teammates? Well, if you have been under a rock for the entire season and potentially the last decade or so, you might not have heard that the Titans HC and the most successful player in NFL history are buddies.

So, whether or not the Titans actually want to add a quarterback in free agency you can bet that the team would feel comfortable vouching for him.

Jameis Winston

-Winston was drafted by Jon Robinson during his time in Tampa Bay and while the call was obviously Jason Licht’s, Jon Robinson was in the room and was the right hand man of the guy making that decision.

The Titans do need a backup quarterback this offseason, but you would hate to waste that spot on someone like Winston. Instead I think the Titans find someone that knows how to not hand the other team a touchdown per game.

Philip Rivers

-One of those weird friend of a friend type of connections, but Mike Sullivan an offensive line coach for the San Diego Chargers from 2009-2012. Over that time, Sullivan would have seen Rivers in perhaps the best stretch of his career.

Not that Rivers necessarily needs someone to vouch for him, but there is a familiar face on the staff.

Josh McCown

-McCown has seemingly been on every team in the NFL at this point except for the Tennessee Titans. While he may not have crossed paths with any coaches, Jon Robinson was in the Tampa Bay front office when they decided to bring him in back in 2014 so it makes sense that they could revisit him as a potential backup.
