With several impact players headed for Free Agency, the Tennessee TItans have their work cut out for them this offseason.
As things currently stand, the Tennessee Titans have a shade over $50 million in cap space. This puts them right around the middle of the pack money-wise.
Still, the Titans could easily give themselves much more space by releasing a few players before free agency starts in March. Players like Delanie Walker, Dion Lewis, and Ryan Succop are names that will frequently be talked about as cut candidates.
While some these moves would be difficult for fans to handle, they might be necessary if the Titans have plans on keeping several of their free agents.
This is a very deep class of free agents for the Titans and is unlike 2019 when Kenny Vaccaro, Brett Kern and Kevin Pamphile were the biggest free agents the Titans had to bring back.
This year, I would expect more than three players to be brought back due to the depth of the teams’ free-agent class this time around.
Not only is the teams’ starting QB, Ryan Tannehill, headed for free agency, but so is the NFL rushing champion Derrick Henry, stud right tackle Jack Conklin and cornerback Logan Ryan.
Those the four of the most important positions on a team, and the Titans would seemingly be hurt to lose any of them.
Let’s take a look at all 22 Titans that are headed for free agency, and analyze what the Titans might do with each one.
