Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt has reportedly been arrested on a drug charge.

According to a police report, former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt was arrested on a drug charge in New Jersey on Saturday.

Per Ron Zeitlinger of NJ.com, Bayonne Capt. Eric Amato says Britt was found with marijuana during a traffic stop.

He was charged with “possession of marijuana 50 grams or less” and issued a pair of summonses for “possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle” and “obstructing passage of other motor vehicles.”

"Officers approached the vehicle and detected a strong odor of raw marijuana from inside the vehicle. Police searching the truck recovered marijuana in an amount less than 50 grams, Amato said."

The former NFL wide receiver was processed and was later released with a court date.

A New Jersey native and a product of Bayonne High School and Rutgers, this isn’t the first time Britt has run into trouble with the law in the state. Back in June of 2011, he pleaded guilty to a reckless driving charge after leading police on a chase through Bayonne, New Jersey.

In a separate incident at a car wash in Hoboken that same month, Britt was charged with resisting arrest, tampering with evidence and obstruction. The charges would later be downgraded and he would go on to plead guilty to disturbing the peace.

Britt was sentenced to 40 hours of community service and had to pay a $1,500 fine.

The Titans drafted Britt with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played his first five seasons with Tennessee and despite showing promise in his first two campaigns with 700 receiving yards or more, he eventually flamed out in Nashville.

Britt, who now lives in Nashville, went on the play for the Rams for three seasons before having short stints with both the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots. His best season came in 2016 with the Rams when he totaled a career-high 1,002 receiving yards.
