3. DeAndre Washington
2019 Stats:
- 108 carries, 387 rushing yards, 3 TDs
- 36 receptions, 292 receiving yards
I’m not sure whether to call him an Oakland or Las Vegas Raider given that he’s no longer under contract, but the former tailback from the bay can ball.
His biggest strength is his competitiveness, and while Washington is undersized he gets to top speed quickly and has no problem initiating contact. He demonstrates good balance and is dangerous with the ball in his hands, particularly in the screen game.
Washington is similar to Lewis in stature, but I think an overall better football player, and he was certainly more productive this past season.
Granted, Washington’s numbers are padded from spelling Raiders running back Josh Jacobs down the stretch, but he offers a better ability to run the football than Lewis provides the Titans. And, my guess is that he’d do it for a considerably less amount of capital.
The Raiders just re-signed running back Jalen Richard to a 2-year deal, likely meaning the end for Washington in Las Vegas.
Advantage: Titans.
