Case Keenum

If the Titans are looking for a high-end backup for Tannehill, quarterback Case Keenum would be that guy. Keenum spent the 2019 season with the Washington Redskins and was initially the starter before the team decided to move to rookie quarterback, Dwayne Haskins.

The 31-year-old compiled 1,707 yards and 11 touchdowns to five picks, while completing 64.8 percent of his passes in 10 games (eight starts). It’s also important to note that Keenum didn’t really have much around him to put him in a position to succeed.

What Keenum does have is a lot of experience as a starter, and he’s been in playoff games, including a trip to the conference championship game when the was with the Minnesota Vikings in 2017, his best season as a pro.

Keenum would have a lot more weapons to work with in Tennessee than he did in Washington and Denver, and having him as an insurance policy would ensure the Titans’ 2020 season wouldn’t sink if Tannehill were to get hurt.
