Now that the 2019 NFL season is officially in the books, it’s time for the Tennessee Titans to start looking ahead to the new league year.

The Tennessee Titans will be allowed to start designating players for the franchise tag on February 25th, while the negotiating period for unrestricted free agency begins on March 16th and the new league year officially beginning on March 18th at 4 p.m. EST.

For the first time in a couple of years the Titans are facing the stress of having to make difficult decisions with some of their own key players that have earned themselves a payday.

Some of the teams’ top players such as Derrick Henry, Ryan Tannehill, Jack Conklin, and Logan Ryan are all due for a contract extension. However, I fully expect the team to find a way to keep at least three of those key players, either through new deals, the franchise tag or the transition tag.

The main goal of this 2020 free agency period is to take care of their own players, while also making improvements to the team if the opportunity presents itself by potentially landing a key free agent or two in the process.

This article is going to take a look at some of the top potential unrestricted free agents that I personally would like to see the Titans go after in order to help the team take that next step.

With all that being said, in no particular order, let’s see which five free agents I feel can help the team go from a contender to a champion should the price tag be reasonable.
