Round 6, pick 188: Jauan Jennings WR, Tennessee

Is there some bias here from me? Yes, I watched Jennings for his whole career at Tennessee and he left a big impression with massive moments in wins vs Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and others.

Does that mean that this is a bad pick? Absolutely not.

Jennings is an absolute dog and he is a guy who could have a career as a special teams demon who also contributes on offense when you need him to. While some people may think that he is going to be a full time wide receiver, I just don’t know that I see that.

I say that because he struggles with drops more often than Tennessee Vols fans care to admit, and he isn’t going to run well at all.

Like with AGG though, it really doesn’t matter a ton about how he runs because of what he would be asked to do. As a receiver, his big plays don’t come from out running defenders as often as the come from him being more violent than anyone else on the field.

I’ll sum it up like this, imagine if you Darren Bates played wide receiver and you would get a player a lot like Jennings.
