3. Pass rushing DT

If the Tennessee Titans stick in house with the defensive coordinator hire, you can probably expect to see a defense that is the same principles that Dean Pees used without all the experience and knowledge that helped make that defense so good at times.

That is…unfortunate.

If that is the way that the Titans are going, then you have to find someone on the roster who can win as part of a 3-man rush because you are going to see that on nearly every third down or important passing situation.

Jurrell Casey had another pretty good year, but he is making a lot of money for a guy who is going to be 31 next year.

Now, I am not saying that the Titans should cut Casey or anything like that, but what I am saying is that we saw that he wasn’t the guy who could win in those situations this year. I don’t know what the problem was exactly, but the Titans have to find someone to get a push on the inside of that DL when Jeffery Simmons isn’t on the field.

Potential players to watch: Jordan Phillips (Buffalo Bills), Chris Jones (Kansas City Chiefs), Gerald McCoy (Carolina Panthers), Neville Gallimore (Oklahoma), Marlon Davidson (Auburn).
