Which positions on defense need to be improved before the Tennessee Titans 2020 season begins?

We are just 46 days away from the beginning of free agency and it is time for the Tennessee Titans to start really considering the best ways to improve the team.

Yesterday I covered the offense and the three positions on that side of the ball that could be upgraded. Today, I wanted to round out the group by looking at the defense.

Like yesterday, I am going to make some assumptions about who the Tennessee Titans will keep and who they will let walk in free agency before I start this list. The quick version is:

-I think Logan Ryan‘s potential on the open market will be too much of a temptation for he and the Titans to agree on a deal that fits both parties, so I think he walks.

Cameron Wake is set to make a lot of money this season and while he was effective as a pass rusher when he was healthy, I’m not sure what he gives you that you aren’t already getting from Derick Roberson.

-The Titans will probably let nearly every other defensive free agent go with the possible exception of Daren Bates and Chris Milton who are special teamers.
