Here are three takeaways following the Tennessee Titans’ 35-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship.

Unfortunately, we have reached the final game takeaways article for the 2019 season following the Tennessee Titans’ 11-point loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a gut-punching loss that caused Tennessee to fall just short of capturing their first AFC Championship in 20 years.

As hurt as all Titans fans are right now, this fan base has no reason to hang their head.

In a year in which the team aimed to go from ”good to great”, they clinched their fourth straight winning season, made it further than 28 teams, and won two fantastic road playoff games over two of the heavy favorites in the conference.

The team finished 9-4 following an abysmal 2-4 start that had some within this fan base talking about the draft. That same team flipped the switch and found itself one win from the Super Bowl, something that not even the most pessimistic fan can argue against.

This Titans team may have fallen just short of ultimately exceeding their goal of going from great to a champion, but the foundation has been laid and there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic that better days are ahead for this franchise.

A Super Bowl might not have been destined for this 2019 Titans team, but this season may have been the start of something special that is being built in Nashville.

With all of that being said, here are my three takeaways from the Tennessee Titans’ AFC Championship loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
