Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark had some parting words for Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry.

After the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game and successfully stifled running back Derrick Henry in the process, defensive end Frank Clark trash talked the Alabama product in a post game interview.

Prior to the game, Clark made it sound like Henry wasn’t that hard to tackle, which at the time sounded ridiculous because Henry was literally running over his opponents on a weekly basis.

In the end, Clark got the last laugh, as the Chiefs kept Henry in check to the tune of 69 yards on 19 carries, although he did find the end zone. It was by far his worst performance of the playoffs after rushing for 377 yards combined against the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens.

After the game, Clark, who finished with four tackles and one sack, had the benefit of being able to run his mouth because his team won.

He made sure to take a parting shot at Henry while proclaiming Kansas City’s defense is the “best defense in the world” in a post game interview with James Palmer of NFL Network, via Nick Shook of NFL.com.

"“Cause we’re the best defense in the world right now,” Clark told NFL Network’s James Palmer when asked how Kansas City was able to limit Henry. “They come in here, they say they’re gonna run the ball. I know exactly what they were gonna do, you watching that film, you know what they’re going to do. … Over 200 yards each game. I knew damn well we wasn’t going to win the game if we let that happen. They come in here, he runs for 70 yards, they call him the best rusher in the league. We sendin’ his a– home early.”"

Unfortunately, the Chiefs’ defensive line was able to win the battle upfront, as Tennessee’s offensive line simply wasn’t opening the holes Derrick Henry has grown accustomed to running through en route to trucking defenders.

The Titans jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the game and looked to be rolling to another playoff upset, but the offense stalled from there and quarterback Patrick Mahomes was flat-out unstoppable, as he burnt Tennessee’s defense over and over again.

Having to hear this kind of trash talk sucks, but that comes with the territory of losing such a game. Clark gets to run his mouth and the Titans have to deal with it.

Regardless, what Tennessee did this season was nothing short of incredible, and instead of being sad about the ultimate outcome, Titans fans should be proud of what their team accomplished.

This is a young team, and there’s no doubt it’ll be back next season, competing for the ultimate prize — and hopefully that road will involve a rematch with Clark and the Chiefs.
