The Titans continue to keep shocking me as they have rolled into the AFC Championship Game with a berth for the Super Bowl on the line. In the process, the Titans beat the defending world champion Patriots and NFL-best Ravens.

It’s been wildly entertaining to watch and root for this year’s Titans. The Ryan Tannehill effect has re-energized this fan base not seen since the Steve McNair days while Derrick Henry is instilling fan’s with memories of the Eddie George times.

That is why it is expected that 25% of the fans at the game in Kansas City will be Titans fans. If that holds, it will be the largest opposition takeover on the road this postseason. Titans fans are real and diehard. We just haven’t had much to root for in the past 15 years.

Each of the past three weeks, I have incorrectly, happily I might add, predicted a Titans loss. The Titans have spurned my predictions with three handy victories. Would I be a fool and predict another loss? Unfortunately so (but mostly because a superstition is setting).

The NFL playoffs seemed to have cleared for the Chiefs without Tom Brady or Lamar Jackson in the way. It seems destined that the NFL finally reward one its best coaches in Andy Reid a long awaited Super Bowl and the trophy to the next heir-apparent in Patrick Mahomes. Something makes me feel that the Titans will give the Chiefs a fight until the last second, but go home with a loss.

Titans fans should be proud, happy and excited. This run has united a wonderful city and fan base again.

Prediction: Chiefs 33, Titans 31
