The phrase being thrown around some by the local media in Nashville is that styles make fights. Obviously what they are referring to is that the Tennessee offense is based around a dominant run game while the Kansas City defense has struggled to stop…well any running back in the NFL.

I should say that I completely agree with that and the Titans have a huge edge in that department, but some people are also quick to call the Chiefs the more talented team. Really?

I mean sure, Patrick Mahomes is amazing, Tyreek Hill is on the field he makes it very hard to scheme against that offense and Travis Kelce is the best tight end in the NFL according to pretty much everyone. But what else do they really have?

Everyone else is either elevated by Mahomes or is partially a media creation built up so that pundits can do more than just name the guys above when they are asked to give insight.

Are we really sure that Kansas City is more talented across the board than the Tennessee?

I have my doubts and the cold weather in this game should slow some of that KC offense and special teams down.

While the defenses on both sides may still be opportunistic, I think a lot of this game ends up being determined by one side getting and advantage early and forcing the other into an unfavorable spot.

I’m going to go with the Titans here in a 75% mind, 25% heart decision.

Titans win: 35-21
