Tennessee Titans GM Jon Robinson was snubbed, but dodges the EoY curse.

Jon Robinson was the best GM in the NFL this season, but Tennessee Titans fans are lucky that the Pro Football Writers of America made the wrong decision today.

I say that Titans fans are lucky because you may have heard about the strange Madden-like curse that comes from winning the award, and if you don’t know now then you will know by the end of this article.

Before I get to the curse, let’s talk about why Jon Robinson is better at his job than the man who won the honor, John Lynch GM of the San Francisco 49ers.

To do that, I want to take a look at the moves that both teams made in free agency and in the draft as well as the product on the field to decide exactly how the group of writers incorrectly came out with the Lynch ahead of Robinson.

Starting chronologically, let’s look at free agency first.
