Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith made a ridiculous one-handed catch for the first touchdown of the game against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Tennessee Titans have struck first in the Divisional Round game against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday night thanks to a sick catch by tight end Jonnu Smith.

With the Titans facing a 3rd-and-goal from the 12-yard line, quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw a pass to the back of the end zone to tight end Jonnu Smith, who made a sensational one-handed grab to put Tennessee on the board.

The scoring drive was made possible thanks to a huge play on defense by safety Kevin Byard, who intercepted a pass from Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson that was deflected off the hands of tight end Mark Andrews.

After the Titans got some solid runs from Henry and a scramble by Tannehill, Tennessee’s quarterback was sacked to set up the 3rd-and-goal. Thankfully for Tannehill and Co., they were able to overcome the setback.

Tennessee has been notorious for slow starts this season, so getting on the board first is a great sign. In the two games prior to this, however, the Titans scored touchdowns on their first possession in each contest.

In this game, it was the second possession that Tennessee scored on, as their first resulted in a punt.

Smith has emerged as a starting-caliber tight end for Tennessee this season. After tight end Delanie Walker suffered a setback on his ankle injury, Smith has done nothing but step up in his place and could force the Titans’ hand.

Now let’s hope that the Titans can keep this momentum going and turn this game into the biggest upset of the playoffs thus far.
