Snap counts: Offense

Here’s a look at the Titans’ snap counts on offense from Saturday night’s game.

Takeaways

-There was clearly no limitation on Derrick Henry, who played a season-high 50 snaps and carried the ball a season-high 34 times in the win over the Patriots. Henry was dominant with the help of his offensive line, and the decision to rest him in Week 16 continues to look like a genius move.

-Titans wide receivers played a combined total of 128 snaps and came away with just two catches for 10 yards on six targets. Anthony Firkser, who played just 14 snaps, was the team’s leading receiver with two very big catches for 23 yards and a touchdown. Tennessee needs more production out of its receivers if its going to beat the Ravens on Saturday night.

Marcus Mariota once again got on the field after totaling two snaps in Week 17. It makes sense for the Titans to use the Oregon product, as he’s a great athlete who could be a weapon when in trick-play packages. Mariota completed one pass for four yards in the win.
