Titans punter, Brett Kern.

Winner: Brett Kern

All-Pro Brett Kern had a chance to show just how great he is at his job on the national stage and didn’t disappoint. As has been the case all season long, Kern was a game-changer for Tennessee.

Kern four of his six punts inside the 20, consistently setting the Patriots up with poor field position. As Dean Pees noted earlier in the season, Kern is one of the biggest weapons for the Titans’ defense, and he was proven right on Saturday night.

In what was maybe the biggest punt of his career, Kern perfectly placed a punt at the one-yard line with 15 seconds remaining to crush all hope the Patriots had of getting into field goal range to kick a game-winning field goal.

We all knew how great Kern was before tonight, but now the rest of the world knows just how special of a punter we have here in Nashville.

Winner: Anthony Firkser (edit)

Admittedly, I forgot to add Anthony Firkser to the list of winners in the original writing of this article. He definitely deserves recognition for what he did on Saturday night.

Firkser had just two catches for 23 yards, but they were two huge catches in this game. The first grab came on the Titans’ first offensive possession and went for a touchdown, and the second came late in the fourth quarter to help extend a Titans drive that milked time off the clock.

Firkser was also Tennessee’s leading receiver in the contest.
