A.J. Brown and Corey Davis

Looking at the Tennessee Titans offense, the question isn’t whether or not A.J. Brown is WR1, it is whether Brown is the best playmaker on the roster or whether that nod goes to Derrick Henry.

With Brown likely to draw extra attention or to demand a shadow from Stephon Gilmore, the question then shifts to whether the smarter move is to keep him as the focus of the offense or attack what the Patriots are giving up.

In this case, I believe they are most likely to match Gilmore on Brown and have J.C. Jackson cover Corey Davis. This gives them nine defenders to play with, and with Henry demanding special attention himself, the Patriots are going to need every man to help.

If that happens for the majority of the game, then it is going to come down to Corey Davis winning his matchups against the lesser of the two Patriots cornerbacks.

This is a huge game for showing just how much the Titans coaching staff likes Davis, because if he can’t dominate or at least heavily contribute in this scenario then all bets are off going forward in terms of him being a long term player in Tennessee.
