30. Washington Redskins

Draft position: 2nd

The Redskins are interesting because they have all the makings of a team that takes a big step forward this offseason. I mean, they are probably going to end up with Ryan Kerrigan, Chase Young and Montez Sweat which is an outstanding group of EDGEs.

On top of that, the battery of Dwayne Haskins to Terry McLaurin should be one that keeps the Washington offense interesting.

However, I have the same problem with Washington that I have with Cincinnati and that is that the front office and ownership can’t be trusted to do the right thing. Why would a talented free agent or coach go there when they could go anywhere else and probably have more success?

29. Detroit Lions

Draft position: 3rd

I can’t believe that we are here after what looked like such a promising start to the season. However, after losing 11 of their last 12 games, the Lions look like a team of players and coaches just going through the motions.

I don’t know where you hang your hat if you are the Lions, but the saving grace is that Matthew Stafford looked like he was playing really well before he got hurt.

A good QB can fix a lot of issues and Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones and Danny Amendola make a nice trio of receivers to help keep that offense humming. However, the rest of the team is really average to bad and I get the feeling that by the time they are even close it will be time to switch coaches.
