14. L.A. Rams

Draft position: 20th (Jaguars)

This is going to get ugly before it gets better for the Rams.

Offensively, Jared Goff just got a new huge deal before the season and all he has done is spend the following 17 weeks showing why he was a player completely propped up by a lot of skill position talent and great play calling.

Defensively, the Rams do have Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey and Dante Fowler but the problem is that it seems like the rumors are pointing to Wade Phillips not being retained. Without him, I don’t know if the defense is even above average and the play of the stars will definitely suffer.

A banged up Todd Gurley doesn’t look like he is going to swoop in and make everything better by making big plays whenever the team needs a spark and I am really not sure how they make it to the playoffs with no money and no high picks.

13. Chicago Bears

Draft position: 19th (Raiders)

Alright, we all know that Trubisky is bad but the biggest problem is that unless the Bears trade a player, then they are stuck with him for the next year at least.

It does help their case that Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller do look like they can be really helpful in making him look like a competent QB, however that offense is always going to have a limit with Trubisky at QB.

I don’t know if either of the off ball LBs are going to be what they envisioned when they spent top-10 picks on Leonard Floyd and Roquan Smith. However, they are solid players and with Khalil Mack up front there is always a chance for that defense to take over a game.

Going forward this team needs to find a way to improve the OL and get David Montgomery going in year 2.
