Snap counts: Defense

Now on to the defensive snap counts from Sunday.

Takeaways

-After splitting snaps with Tye Smith last week, LeShaun Sims was the go-to corner with Adoree’ Jackson still out, as Smith was on the field for just two snaps. Sims also played 21 more snaps than veteran Tramaine Brock. It’ll be interesting to see how Brock and Smith split snaps when Jackson returns, assuming the former first-round pick plays a full game.

Derick Roberson was only on the field for 13 snaps, but he certainly made the most of them with two sacks. Roberson deserves more playing time on the edge after his great game, which could cut into Kamalei Correa‘s snaps in Week 17.

Austin Johnson was the biggest beneficiary of Jeffery Simmons being out. Johnson played a season-high 54 snaps, while Matt Dickerson‘s 19 were the most he’s seen this season.
