Winner: Jonnu Smith

Jonnu Smith put together another solid game for the Titans on Sunday. He totaled three catches for 63 yards and one touchdown, and his yardage output was the second-best on the Titans in Week 16. His biggest play came on a 41-yard catch and run that resulted in Tennessee’s first score of the game.

The more we see of Smith and the more he makes big plays, the more likely it becomes that the Titans may part ways with Delanie Walker after this season is over.

Loser: Titans defense

After generating great pressure in the first half that clearly had Drew Brees and the Saints’ offense rattled, Tennessee did almost nothing to continue that in the second half. Two of Tennessee’s three sacks came in the first two quarters, and Brees was basically untouched after that, which led to him picking apart the Titans’ defense.

The secondary couldn’t stop Michael Thomas, and we even saw Kevin Byard make some uncharacteristically poor plays throughout the course of the game. The Titans defense allowed two big scoring plays of 40 yards or more in this game, although one of them should have been called back because of a holding penalty committed on Kamalei Correa.
