7-8. Previous: 17th. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 18. team. 48.

Recap: Jameis Winston and his mistake-prone self showed up once again in Week 16 against the Texans. Winston tossed four picks, including a pick-six on the first drive of the game, and another costly interception with under two minutes remaining that ended the Bucs’ hopes of winning. Houston went on to win, 23-20.

Outlook: It appears as though 28 interceptions in 2019 isn’t enough to keep the Bucs from retaining Winston, as reports suggest he will be back with the team in some form in 2020. Tampa Bay will look to finish the season with a .500 record in a home game against the Falcons in Week 17.

28. . 7-8. Previous: 18th. Las Vegas Raiders. 17. team

Recap: On the strength of a near-perfect game by Derek Carr and a strong showing by their defense, the Raiders toppled the Chargers in Week 16, 24-17. The win secured the Raiders’ sweep of the Chargers in 2019. Who saw that one coming?

Outlook: Despite them being about as much of a longshot as you can get, the Raiders needed five things to happen to have a chance at making the playoffs in Week 17, and all five of those things happened. If the Raiders and Colts can win in Week 17 and the Titans and Steelers lose, Oakland would actually sneak into the playoffs. The Raiders get the Broncos next week.
