Previous: 28th. Detroit Lions. 30. team. 50. . 3-11-1

Recap: The Lions actually held a 17-13 lead going into the final quarter against the Broncos, but their offense stalled from there and was unable to answer two fourth quarter touchdowns by Denver, leading to Detroit’s 11th loss of the season.

Outlook: It’s hard to believe the Lions were once a competitive team based on their current record. While some of their struggles have to do with the injury to Matthew Stafford, this team was in free fall before he was put on the shelf. Matt Patricia’s job should definitely be in doubt, as the Lions have now worked their way into a top-three pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Detroit closes out the season at home against the Packers.

59. . 4-11. Previous: 31st. Miami Dolphins. 29. team

Recap: The Dolphins were absolutely cruising with a 28-6 lead in the third quarter over the Bengals, however Cincy fought hard and climbed back into the game, tying it at 35 in the final seconds of regulation to force the game into overtime. The game went all the way down to the wire in the extra frame, but the Dolphins were able to notch a last-second field goal to grab their fourth win of the season.

Outlook: Things just continue to get worse for the Dolphins. Not only has this been an awful season, but Miami has now once again hurt its draft positioning with another win. The Dolphins can’t even lose correctly and now own the No. 5 overall pick. We’ll see what draft positioning the Dolphins end up with after a Week 17 game against the Pats on the road.
