Previous: 3rd. San Francisco 49ers. 2. team. 42. . 12-3

Recap: After a slow start saw the Niners fall behind to the Rams 14-3, San Fran turned on the jets from there on out, resulting in the game being tied at 31 with just over two minutes left to play. Jimmy G. and Co. got one more crack at it on offense and successfully drove down the field for a game-winning field goal at the end of regulation.

Outlook: While the Niners had already clinched a playoff berth last week, this win not only eliminated the Rams from playoff contention, but it put San Fran back into the top spot in the NFC with the Seahawks’ loss to the Cardinals. The Niners will hit the road to battle the Seahawks in Week 17 in a game that will determine the NFC West winner, and San Fran will secure the No. 1 spot in the NFC with a win.

1. team. 26. . 13-2. Previous: 1st. Baltimore Ravens

Recap: The Ravens got off to one of their slowest starts of the season against the Browns in Week 16, as Baltimore didn’t get points on the board until there was a little over one minute remaining in the first half. Once the Ravens broke the seal it was all over for the Browns’ hopes, and Baltimore ended up cruising to a 31-15 win over Cleveland.

Outlook: With the win, the Ravens are officially the No. 1 seed in the AFC and can now rest their starters if they choose to do so in Week 17. Baltimore will host Pittsburgh next week in what is a game the Steelers desperately need to make the playoffs. The Ravens could conceivably win that game even without their starters playing.
