54. . 8-7. Previous: 16th. Philadelphia Eagles. 14. team

Recap: The Eagles’ Week 16 matchup with the Cowboys was about as ugly as you’d expect it to be, with both teams combining for 26 points. Down 17-9 late in the fourth quarter, the Cowboys had a chance to send the game into overtime, but the Eagles forced a turnover on downs to secure the win.

Outlook: The recipe for winning the NFC Least is clear for the Eagles: a win or a Cowboys loss sends Philly to the playoffs. While neither the Eagles nor the Cowboys deserve to be in the playoffs, none of that matters now because it’s a brand new season after Week 17. The Eagles will look to secure their playoff bid on the road next week against the Giants.

51. . 8-7. Previous: 13th. Los Angeles Rams. 13. team

Recap: The Rams and Niners were involved in a shootout on Saturday night that led to a 31-31 tie with just over two minutes left to play. The Rams needed one more defensive stop to send the game into overtime, but San Fran successfully drove down the field and got a game-winning field goal out of Robbie Gould as time expired.

Outlook: One year after making it to the Super Bowl, the Rams finish the 2019 season with utter disappointment, as their loss to the Niners officially eliminated them from the playoffs. It’ll be back to the drawing board for Los Angeles next season, and rumor has it there could a shake-up of the team’s coaching staff.
