Optimism: The return of Adoree’ Jackson

Going hand-in-hand with the Titans trying to keep the Saints air attack in check is the return of Adoree’ Jackson. While he hasn’t been confirmed to be suiting up on Sunday quite yet, the third-year corner out of USC returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time in two weeks, albeit in a limited fashion.

That’s a great sign for a Titans secondary that is slowly getting healthy. Fellow corner LeShaun Sims returned to action last week after missing a few games, and veteran Tramaine Brock has been serviceable for Tennessee since being brought in.

However, neither of those players provide the kind of coverage that Jackson does. The former No. 18 overall pick has been great in coverage when healthy and will provide a serious boost to a secondary that has to deal with an elite wideout like Thomas this week.

Jackson gives hope to the idea that the Titans can stop Thomas from wrecking this game that otherwise wouldn’t be there if he wasn’t playing. As long as all goes well in practice this week, Jackson should be back on the field in some capacity in Week 16.
