Snap counts: Defense

Now we look at the snap counts on the defensive side of the ball, and then some takeaways.

Takeaways

-In just his second game with Tennessee, Tramaine Brock played on every single snap and should still be heavily involved moving forward once Adoree’ Jackson returns because of Malcolm Butler’s absence. Overall, it was not a good day for Tennessee’s secondary.

-After missing two games, LeShaun Sims almost split snaps evenly with Tye Smith. Perhaps the coaching staff was just easing him back in, but it’s a bit surprising to see considering we thought Sims would be playing full-time with the team thin at corner. Once Jackson returns, it’ll be interesting to see if either of these two cut into Brock’s snaps.

-Amani Hooker played a season-low 10 snaps. His snaps have fluctuated from the 30’s to the teen’s all season long, so there isn’t much to read into with that.

-Joey Ivie was active for his first game as a Titan in Week 15, replacing Isaiah Mack, who was a healthy scratch. Ivie was about as involved as Mack had been, which was not much at all.

-Wesley Woodyard didn’t play a single defensive snap. The veteran continues to be an afterthought on this defense, with young studs Jayon Brown and Rashaan Evans patrolling the middle of the field.
