Circumstances surrounding the Titans’ organization haven’t been this exciting since the 2008 season. Tennessee went 13-3 that year with QB Kerry Collins at the helm and Smash and Dash (RBs Lendale White and Chris Johnson) combined for 2,001 yards rushing and 25 total touchdowns. The Titans eventually fell to the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round of the playoffs.

While it’s a little early to think of a playoff berth and/or possible matchups, the Week 15 showdown with the Houston Texans presents as the next best thing.

If the Titans’ defense can prevent Texans QB Deshaun Watson from extending plays, and the secondary can bracket WR Deandre Hopkins (fingers crossed for WR Will Fuller out with a hamstring) the boys in #CodeBlue could very well run away with this thing. However, with the division on the line, I’m anticipating a slug-fest and taking the under.

It’s time for the Tennessee Titans to make their move for the AFC South crown. In control of their destiny, the “good to great” prophecy shall, at last, come true. The Titans get the W at home.

Final score: Titans 24, Texans 20
