The Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints will play their Week 16 game as originally scheduled.

The Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints will play their Week 16 game at Nissan Stadium at the time it was originally scheduled for.

Last week it was being reported that there was a chance the Titans-Saints game next Sunday would be flexed to Sunday Night Football, with a six-day window to make the decision that was agreed upon by all parties involved.

However, following the Titans’ Week 15 loss to the Houston Texans, it was confirmed by the Chicago Bears on Twitter that the Titans and Saints will remain in their noon CST slot, while the Bears and Kansas City Chiefs will remain in their Sunday night time slot as originally scheduled.

This will be music to the ears of Tennessee’s ticket-holders, as it’s never easy to just change plans days prior to a game. Of course, having to change those plans would have meant that the Titans won on Sunday, which unfortunately did not happen.

Tennessee now finds itself in a must-win situation in Week 16. After losing to the Texans in Week 15, a Titans loss will clinch the division for Houston. And, in the same breath, a Texans win will also close out the AFC South no matter what Tennessee does.

Regardless of what happens with the division, Tennessee also needs a win to keep pace in the AFC wild card race, as they’ll be trailing the Pittsburgh Steelers going into the game with New Orleans.

The Saints have their own thing to play for, as they’re trying to earn a bye in the first round of the playoffs after already having locked up their division.

Tennessee is 8-5-1 against New Orleans all-time dating back to their days as the Houston Oilers. This game will have serious playoff implications for both teams.
