Snap counts: Defense

Now a look at the Titans’ snap counts on defense for Week 14.

Takeaways

-The newest Titan, Tramaine Brock, played quite a bit in his debut, as he was in on 81 percent of the team’s snaps. We didn’t hear a lot about the veteran corner on Sunday, and as head coach Mike Vrabel pointed out, that’s probably a good thing.

-Along with Brock, Tye Smith saw a significant number of snaps with 60, and was just two shy of his Week 13 snap count total. Smith came up big with eight tackles and a forced fumble that was recovered for a touchdown. Smith should continue to see significant playing time moving forward for as long as Adoree’ Jackson and LeShaun Sims are out, and he could still have a role once one or both return if he keeps playing as well as he has.

-It appears Sharif Finch has completely fallen out of favor this season. After playing 25 snaps or more in five of the first six games he played this season, Finch has now totaled 11 in the last two. Kamalei Correa and Reggie Gilbert appear to be the preferences over Finch for the Titans right now.

Kenny Vaccaro played 32 snaps before leaving the game early with a concussion. Rookie Amani Hooker picked up the slack from there and played on 35 snaps, the third-highest total he has seen in 2019.
