18. Indianapolis Colts
The Colts lost a close game to the Titans last week when Tennessee found a way to make key plays late in the game. This week, the Colts lost a close game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite Jameis Winston basically gift wrapping four possessions for them.
Now down to a 6-7 record, it seems virtually impossible for the Colts to make a playoff run but they are also outside of the pick range to land an elite player. All of that is music to the ears of Titans, Jaguars and Texans fans who have only seen the Colts be bad when it meant them landing a blue-chip talent the following year.
17. Dallas Cowboys
And here we have the NFC East leaders and a probably playoff bound Cowboys roster who is sub .500 on this list and sub .500 in the standings.
I really don’t know what to make of this team because they have a coach who is about to be fired and everyone knows it, but they are also almost guaranteed a playoff spot because of how bad the rest of the division is.
So basically you have an owner and a fan base screaming to tear it down, but the team is actually in an ideal position to get into the playoffs and from there you just have to win a handful of games to end up with a ring.
It is a confusing mix of emotions for everyone and all I can say is that the young pieces on this team are very fun, but there are several players on this roster whose name value exceeds what they can actually do on the field.
