Week 15 NFL Power Rankings: Titans & Broncos rise, Texans & Patriots fall
By Will Lomas
16. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Are the Bucs good?? No, but they are an exciting train wreck to watch which is basically the perfect way to describe the Jameis Winston experience.
Defensively they still are very bad, but the offense just seems to be so explosive at times that it doesn’t even matter. The Bucs handed the Colts three possessions and a touchdown and it ultimately didn’t matter because they have the offense to make up for that against bad teams.
With Mike Evans banged up, I hope that this means we get a game where Chris Godwin gets the lion share of the targets and makes some big plays to show how good he is as a WR1-type player.
15. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders gave the Titans all they wanted for a half when they finished 21-21, but after that break Tennessee throttled down and ended up boat racing Oakland 42-21.
Offensively, Derek Carr and company just took what the Titans gave and found ways to exploit them when they had coverage busts. However, without Josh Jacobs there were only so many ways that the Raiders could put up points.
Defensively, I didn’t notice top-5 pick Clelin Ferrell at all and even Maxx Crosby wasn’t as impactful as I thought he would be. The Titans OL held the Raiders defense to no sacks and they looked like the superior talent in the run and the pass game.
