Tennessee Titans: 3 takeaways from Week 14 win over Raiders

This Titans offense is legit
Many people thought that there would be an inevitable fall-off from new Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill ever since he took over as the full-time starter in Week 7, which at the time was a more than fair enough assumption given his reputation from his time in Miami.
However, after seven extremely solid weeks of consistent quarterback play which has led to a 6-1 record since he took over, I believe it is safe for everyone to stop expecting the fall-off and start enjoying the “Tannethrill” experience.
In the teams dominating 21-point victory over the Raiders, the Titans offense accumulated over 500 yards of total offense while putting up 30-plus points for the fourth consecutive game.
The @Titans reached 30 points for the fourth consecutive game, accomplishing the feat for the first time since 2003, when they had a six-game streak with 30 or more points.

Tennessee has been getting off to relatively slow starts offensively before eventually exploding in the second half during these last seven weeks. Yet, on this day the team came out swinging from the very beginning.
The Titans’ first drive stalled as a tipped Tannehill throw led to a Raiders turnover and quick touchdown, putting the Titans in an early hole.
The team flexed their muscles and showed their resiliency by striking back almost immediately with an eight-play, 74-yard scoring drive and then a 91-yard touchdown pass to budding star receiver A.J. Brown on the following offensive series.

From that point on the offense seemingly never slowed down, as they scored 21 points in both the first and second half on their way to a convincing 42-21 victory. Tannehill’s stat line was once again impressive as he completed 21-of-27 passes for 391 yards and three touchdowns.
These consistently dominating offensive performances are one of the many reasons as to why this squad is currently on a four-game winning streak and currently seen as one of the scariest teams in the AFC.
Following the win, the Titans offense is now averaging a whopping 31.4 points per game and are seemingly getting better each week. If this trend continues, there is no telling what this team’s full potential could be.
