Winner No. 6: Tight Ends

The Titans’ tight end unit has really stepped up since Delanie Walker was placed on injured reserve. All three tight ends played a part in the passing game, with Anthony Firsker and MyCole Pruitt both registering a catch each.

Firkser’s catch came on the final drive of the first half. With 12 seconds remaining in the half, Tannehill found Firkser on a seam route for 39-yard gain and a huge first down that put the Titans in field goal range. The field goal ended up being missed (we’ll discuss that in the next slide), but he at very least gave the Titans a chance to take the lead into halftime.

Pruitt’s catch came on the second drive of the second half on another seam route, and setup Henry’s second touchdown of the game.

Jonnu Smith would add 29 yards on three catches, including a beautiful catch on a jump ball in the end zone on a 17-yard strike from Tannehill.

These tight ends might not be as talented as Walker, but they all made big plays today, and their contributions will be key as the Titans look to continue their push towards a playoff spot.
