Loser No. 3: Ryan Succop

Ryan Succop missed the majority of this season due to a knee injury that landed him on injured reserve. Since he’s returned, he’s been horrible.

After a huge play that put the Titans in field goal range with time winding down in the first half, Succop was called upon to attempt a 42-yard field goal. The kick had the distance, but ended up clanking off the left upright, and the Titans missed an opportunity to take a three-point lead into the half.

With that miss, Succop is now one-of-five on field goals.

The Titans have to do something about this kicker situation. On the season, between Succop, Cairo Santos, and Cody Parkey, they have now missed eight of their 17 field goal attempts. Sooner or later, these misses are going to cost the team like they did earlier in the season.

I feel like Succop has not fully recovered from his knee injury, and should probably go on injured reserve. The Titans may already have his replacement in place, as they signed kicker Ryan Santoso a few weeks ago, and he has been their kickoff specialist ever since.

Succop has served the Titans well in the past, but with his knee injury seeming to linger, his time in Nashville may be running out.
