Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown has been ranked as one of the best rookies in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.

In an article listing the top-10 rookies based on Pro Football Focus’ grading system, Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown has made the list.

Brown, who has earned himself an overall PFF grade of 72.0 in 2019, ranks as the No. 9 rookie on PFF’s list of highest graded rookies through Week 13, per PFF’s Anthony Treash.

"The second-round rookie is starting to click in this Ryan Tannehill-led offense, ranking 15th in PFF receiving grade, at 76.8, and eighth in yards per route run, at 2.42, since he took over the reins as starting quarterback in Week 7. The athleticism of the 225-pound wide receiver shows in his crisp route running and when creating after the catch. Through Week 13, Brown has produced the third most broken tackles (10) and most yards after catch per reception (8.4)."

Adding to Brown’s impressive numbers, the rookie wideout is tied for second among all receivers in the league with two elite-graded games this season.

The second-round rookie has been everything the Titans could have hoped for and then some when they drafted him with the No. 51 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Brown leads all Titans pass-catchers in receiving yards (626), targets (54) and touchdowns (four), and sits behind only fellow wideout Adam Humphries in receptions (34). The Ole Miss product has 200 more receiving yards than the next closest Titans receiver, Corey Davis.

The best part about Brown’s game has been his ability to gain yards after the catch. He has eight receptions of 20 yards or more and has scored from 55 and 65 yards out in two different games.

Whenever the ball is in his hands, Brown can make big things happen with not only his size and ability to break tackles, but with his underrated speed, also.

In just one season, Brown has surpassed Davis as the team’s No. 1 receiver and the skies the limit for how good he can become. The future is bright for this young receiver in Nashville.
