Optimism: A declining Raiders team
The Raiders have certainly surprised a lot of people on their way to a 6-6 record through 12 games, but things have been particularly difficult for head coach Jon Gruden’s team of late.
After barely edging out a lowly Bengals team 17-10 in Week 11, the Raiders have lost their last two games to the New York Jets and Chiefs by a combined score of 74-12. As a result of its ineptitude on both sides of the ball, Oakland has now seen its once-promising playoff position take a serious hit.
A win over the Titans could turn things around quickly, however that will be no easy task. As bad as the Raiders have been playing, the Titans come into this game as one of the hottest teams in the NFL.
It appears Tennessee is getting Oakland at the perfect time.
