Another shaky offensive line performance

The Titans’ offensive line has played a lot more consistent ever since the change at quarterback from Marcus Mariota to Ryan Tannehill. However, through one half of football they displayed the same type of performance that many have blamed for the initial quarterback change.

The Colts nearly killed Tannehill in the first half, as the Titans’ offensive line allowed five sacks in the first 30 minutes of play. However, aside from a single Kenny Moore sack in the second half (No. 6 in total), the Titans’ group upfront protected Tannehill much better in the final two quarters.

Going forward, the Titans’ O-Line needs to continue playing at the level that they played at during the second half as opposed to the first. This 2019 offensive line is closing in on one of the franchise’s worse single-season sacks allowed totals in team history.

The unit has allowed 49 sacks though 12 games thus far, and it’s a total that cannot increase much more if this team wants to legitimately contend going forward.
