18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Recap: The Bucs just had the extremely rare “Jameis Winston does nothing” game. No touchdowns, no picks, just a guy who got the ball to his receivers and let other score the points.

The past few weeks have featured a much better defense in Tampa Bay and when Winston doesn’t make debilitating mistakes they look like a team that could win 8 games.

Outlook: Speaking of their outlook, if this team wins 8 games are they going to keep Winston even though he is the reason they didn’t win more? I don’t know, but it is going to be very interesting to see if Winston can limit his mistakes just long enough to trick the Bucs into giving him a new deal.

17. Oakland Raiders

Recap: What a terrible day from the Raiders which is almost as ugly as the previous week, but not quite. The one big difference is that Josh Jacobs has looked exceptional and he looks like a true gamebreaker for a Raiders offense that desperately lacks some excitement.

Outlook: I am probably giving the Raiders too much of a pass because of what they did earlier in the season, but it is a fair criticism to say that in the last two weeks they have lost both by a combined 74-12.

With one more loss they feel like a team that could disappear from relevance quickly and one that would start really focusing on a draft where they have two first round picks to help push them over the barrier they hit this year.
