Optimism: A different Titans offense

As we left off saying in the last slide, the Titans’ offensive line has improved when blocking for Henry as the season has progressed. Now, if only the pass protection could improve that much, although it must be said the Titans allowed just one sack in Week 12 against the Jags.

In Week 2, the Titans were missing two starters on the offensive line, as they didn’t have Taylor Lewan (suspension) at left tackle or Nate Davis at right guard.

Aside from the offensive line, the biggest difference from Week 2 to now is the change at quarterback. Ryan Tannehill has been a significant upgrade for Tennessee since becoming the starter in Week 7.

The Titans own a 4-1 record with Tannehill behind center, and the offense is 13-of-14 in the red zone. Adding to that, Tannehill has shown better pocket presence, arm strength and accuracy than that of his predecessor, Marcus Mariota.

When the Colts take the field on defense in Week 13, they are going to be seeing a very different Titans offense.
