The emergence of Ryan Tannehill

After six games into the 2019 season, the Titans looked dead in the water with the offense as a whole was struggling. Marcus Mariota simply didn’t look like the young player who had emerged years earlier, and the offensive line couldn’t stop a nosebleed.

In the midst of a shut out loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 6, the Titans decided to make the switch and gave Ryan Tannehill the job. While Tannehill wasn’t able to do much either against the Broncos in that game, the early signs dictated that he might be a better option.

Well, that actually turned out to be true.

Since being named the team’s starter for Week 7, Tannehill and the Titans are 4-1, the offense is clicking and is 13-of-14 in the red zone, and the season has been revived to the point where a once seemingly distant AFC South title is now absolutely obtainable.

It has been quite the turnaround for the Titans’ 2019 season, and Tannehill is the biggest reason for it.
