Staff predictions for the Tennessee Titans matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Tennessee Titans had a bye week to prepare and are coming off of an impressive win, so how will they preform in an all-important AFC South battle against the Jacksonville Jaguars?

While history’s answer is a resounding “Poorly”, let’s ignore that and take a look at what our staff at Titan Sized thinks, and I will go ahead and throw my two cents in first.

I can’t help but to think that a day after the Tennessee Vols became bowl eligible and the Nashville Predators finally broke their losing streak, that the other shoe is going to drop for the fine folks in Tennessee.

As we all know we can’t have nice things and while my guy firmly believes that, I just can’t figure out a way that the Tennessee Titans end up with any excuse to lose this game.

Firstly, you have upgraded the left tackle and quarterback spots with a Pro Bowler in Taylor Lewan and with Ryan Tannehill playing like a top-10 QB. That should provide a spark for an offense that was in desperate need of one during the Week 3 matchup.

Speaking of offense, you might have noticed a slight uptick in production from Derrick Henry against the Kansas City Chiefs when he totaled 200 yards and two touchdowns on the way to an upset victory. The good news for Jacksonville is that they don’t have any bad memories of Henry right?

Secondly, the defense for the Tennessee Titans has dropped off but that should be less of a problem with Jurrell Casey and Jayon Brown coming into the mix. What helps even more is that the Jaguars decided to take their best QB off the field and replace him with their most expensive quarterback: Nick Foles.

With two weeks of preparation against a familiar opponent there is no reason for anything less than a convincing win this week from the Titans and that coaching staff.

Final score: 31-17 Titans win
