6. Green Bay Packers (8-3)

Recap: The Green Bay Packers had a chance to prove they belonged among the very best in the NFC in a Week 12 showdown against the San Francisco 49ers but came up very short in their bid. The Niners dominated from the get-go and ended up blowing the Packers out.

Outlook: While the Packers failed to make a statement against the Niners in Week 12, they still control their own destiny in the NFC North. The Packers will continue to try and stave off the second place Vikings in Week 13 when they take on the New York Giants on the road.

5. New Orleans Saints (9-2)

Recap: The New Orleans Saints had leads of 17-6 and 31-18 over the course of the Week 12 game with the Carolina Panthers. However, the Panthers hung around and actually had a chance to win the game but missed a 28-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter. With two minutes remaining after the missed attempt, Drew Brees drove his team down the field and the Saints would hit the game-winning field goal to win a nail-biter in New Orleans.

Outlook: The Saints remain among the NFC’s elite and have a road matchup with the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13. Beyond that, the Saints will have a huge showdown with the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14 that could determine home-field advantage in the NFC.
