Delanie Walker: Sit

UPDATE: Friday, November 22nd at 1:32 p.m. CST

While it looked like Delanie Walker would return in Week 12 after getting in limited practices during the week, it looks as though he will sit out once again, as the Titans have him listed as doubtful against the Jaguars.

It looks like you can fire up Jonnu Smith once again this week. The Jags are allowing the 10th-most fantasy points per game to tight ends. As for Walker, we wait another week.

Before we get into why you should start Walker, there is some level of concern here. While it looks like Walker is set to come back after missing the last three games, there’s a chance he could see limited snaps upon his return as the Titans look to ease him back in.

On the flip side, this is a positive matchup for Walker. The Jags are surrendering the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the position, and Walker had his highest yardage and reception output of the 2019 season in Week 3 when he caught seven balls for 64 yards.

Since that game, the Titans’ passing attack is improved and that should help Walker get more looks in this game. In 12 career games against the Jags, Walker is averaging 4.7 receptions for 58.6 yards and 0.3 touchdowns.

Again, starting Walker has its risks, but if you have only he and Smith to choose between, I’d definitely go with Walker over Smith in that instance.
